Having just returned from holiday (Botswana and the jewel of the Kalahari) with Saga who uses the services of ‘Pride of Africa’ may I say what a wonderful time we all had. Our guides Johann and Nick were excellent and did all within their power to make it a truly memorable experience. Their knowledge and determination to pass on their enthusiasm for the animals, birdlife and plants and trees was second to none. Entertaining us in the evening around the camp fire with stories and anecdotes of their past experiences. As a team they worked perfectly together along with the amazing efforts of grace the cook and the rest of the staff who worked tirelessly putting up and taking down the tents and other equipment as well as the overall running of the camp.
It is at times like this that words alone seem totally inadequate to express our appreciation of what we have done and seen. Never before have I seen so many elephants. We saw close up of wild dog and the ever elusive leopard as well as crocodile, hippo, lion and giraffe to name just a few. We have all come home with wonderful photographs which will be a constant reminder of our African safari experience under the guidance of two very capable, interesting and knowledgeable people who it was a pleasure to know. I only hope they enjoyed our company as much as we enjoyed theirs. We feel extremely privileged and well satisfied we have had value for money..
